You've built a career for someone else. Here's what building one for yourself actually looks like.

About
Jeremy Bowen

When I bought my first franchise nearly 30 years ago, I did it without a guide. I figured it out — but I left tens of thousands of dollars on the table and more time than I'd like to admit. Not because I wasn't capable. Because I didn't know what I didn't know.
That experience is why I do this work. When we talk, I'm not reading from a brochure — I'm drawing on decades of real entrepreneurial and franchise experience to help you avoid the mistakes I made.
I don't work for any franchise. My job is to figure out what's right for you — and to tell you honestly if nothing I know of fits.
We have a conversation. I learn about your goals, background, and what matters to you in terms of time, income, and lifestyle. From there I match you with pre-vetted opportunities across 40+ industries that I wouldn't show you unless they genuinely made sense for your situation. No fees, no retainer — ever.
Don't do what I did and try to figure this out alone, even if you are in the very early stages I can be your guide in the process.
A 15-minute conversation costs you nothing and might show you something worth knowing.
Why Franchising?
Why Franchising?
Four Things Worth Understanding First
1. Starting a business is hard.
Doesn't have to be that hard.
Most people assume owning a business means building everything from the ground up — the brand, the systems, the customer base, all at once. What they don't realize is how much that costs, in time and money, before a single dollar comes in.
A franchise gives you a tested roadmap from day one. The guesswork has already been paid for by someone else. You still have to show up and lead — but you're not starting from zero.
Let's talk about what that looks like for you →

2. Not all franchises are created equal — and that's the part that matters most.
There are over 4,000 franchise brands across more than 40 industries. Some have exceptional support, strong margins, and leadership teams that genuinely invest in their owners. Others don't. The difference between a good franchise experience and a bad one often comes down to choosing the right brand — not just any brand.
That's exactly why having someone in your corner who's vetted these options, knows the franchisors personally, and has no financial reason to steer you wrong makes such a difference.

3. You don't have to leave your job to get started.
One of the most common things we hear is "I'd love to explore this, but I can't walk away from my income right now." The good news is that most people who work with us don't have to — at least not at the start.
Many franchise models are designed to be run with a manager in place, meaning you can own and build a business while keeping your current role. The transition happens on your timeline, not anyone else's.
Find out if this model fits your situation →

4. A conversation is all it takes to know if this is worth your time.
We're not going to tell you franchising is right for everyone. It isn't. But we can tell you — usually within one conversation — whether it might be right for you, based on your goals, your finances, and what you actually want your life to look like.
There's no cost to find out. No obligation to move forward. Just an honest look at whether any of this makes sense for your situation — from someone who's been exactly where you are.

Here Is What Happens On The Call
List of Services
-
We start with you, not us.Item Link List Item 1
Minutes 0-2
Jeremy won't open with a company overview or a slide deck. He'll ask you one simple question: what made you curious enough to get on this call? Your answer sets the direction for everything that follows. There's no wrong thing to say here — this conversation goes wherever you need it to go.
-
A few questions about where you are right now.Item Link List Item 2
Minutes 2–6
Jeremy will ask about your background — not to judge it, but to understand it. What you do, how long you've done it, what you're looking to change and why. He'll also ask what your life needs to look like in terms of time, income, and involvement. These answers are what shape everything that comes after. You don't need to have it all figured out — most people don't at this stage and that's completely normal.
-
An honest read on whether this makes sense for your situation.Item Link List Item 3
Minutes 6-10
Based on what you share, Jeremy will tell you candidly whether franchising is likely a good fit for where you are right now — and if so, what category of opportunity tends to match people with your background and goals. If the honest answer is "not yet" or "probably not," he'll tell you that too. There's no version of this call where you get pushed toward something that doesn't make sense for you.
-
A look at what the path forward actually involves.Item Link List Item 4
Minutes 10-13
If there's a potential fit, Jeremy will walk you through what exploring this further would look like — the process, the timeline, and what you'd need to be comfortable with at each step. No vague next steps. No "we'll send you some information." A clear, specific picture of what comes next if you decide this is worth exploring.
-
Your questions — whatever they are.Item Link
Minutes 13-15
The last few minutes are yours. Skeptical about franchising? Ask it. Heard a horror story from a friend? Bring it up. Wondering how Jeremy gets paid and whether that creates a conflict of interest? That's a great question and he'll answer it straight. Nothing is off the table and no question is too blunt.
-
What you walk away with.Item Link
By the end of 15 minutes you'll know whether franchising is worth exploring for your specific situation, what kind of opportunity might fit your life, and what the next step looks like if you want to go further. Most people tell us the call alone was worth their time — even the ones who decide it's not for them right now.

FAQs
-
Do I really need a franchise consultant, or can I just figure this out myself?
Working with a franchise consultant can make a significant difference—especially if you’re new to the process. Rather than navigating thousands of options on your own, a consultant helps narrow the field based on your goals, budget, and strengths, ensuring you’re looking at the right opportunities from the start.
They also bring industry insight, help you understand the numbers, guide you through the evaluation process, and provide an objective perspective so you can make informed, confident decisions. Ultimately, it’s about simplifying what can feel like an overwhelming process and giving you a clear, structured path toward successful franchise ownership.
-
I’m not sure I’m financially ready yet—can I still learn more about how this works?
Absolutely. You don’t need to be financially ready to start learning about franchising. In fact, many people begin exploring well before they’re ready to invest so they can understand the process, evaluate their options, and build a clear plan.
The early stages are focused on education—learning how franchising works, what types of opportunities exist, and what to expect financially and operationally. This gives you a strong foundation so when you are ready, you can move forward with confidence instead of starting from scratch.
Working with a consultant during this phase can also be incredibly valuable. You’ll gain insight into the industry, get your questions answered, and begin identifying opportunities that align with your goals—without any pressure to move forward until the timing is right.
-
How does that work—are the consultant’s services really free?
Yes—working with a franchise consultant is completely free for you as a prospective franchise owner. Consultants are compensated by the franchisor, so there’s no cost to you at any point in the process.
What’s important to understand is that you’re not just getting “free help”—you’re gaining access to expert guidance, vetted franchise opportunities, and a structured process designed to save you time, reduce risk, and help you make a confident, informed decision. From narrowing down the right concepts to understanding financials and navigating the evaluation process, a consultant acts as your advocate every step of the way—without adding any cost to your investment.
-
What if I’ve never owned a business before—can I still do this?
Yes, absolutely—you can still do this even if you’ve never owned a business before. Many successful franchise owners start with no prior experience. Franchising is designed to provide a proven system, along with training and ongoing support from the franchisor, so you’re not building everything from scratch.
A franchise consultant can also guide you through the process, help you understand what to expect, and match you with opportunities that align with your strengths. The focus isn’t on having experience going in, but on choosing the right model and support system to set you up for success.
-
From start to finish, how long does the franchise process typically take?
In most cases, the franchise buying process takes about 3 to 6 months from start to finish. That timeline allows you to properly explore opportunities, go through the evaluation and approval process, secure financing if needed, and make a well-informed decision.
Some people move faster, while others take a bit more time depending on their schedule and how many options they’re considering. The key is that it’s a structured, guided process—not something you’re navigating alone—so you can move forward with clarity and confidence at each step.
-
I always thought franchises were mostly restaurants—is that actually the case?
Not at all—this is actually one of the most common misconceptions about the franchising industry. It’s far broader than brands like McDonald’s. There are over 4,000 franchise concepts in the United States alone, spanning industries such as medical, wellness, real estate, technology, beauty, education, pet care, senior care, home services, and business services—the list continues to grow.
